Let’s Talk About Camp

Camp ministry. Why is it so impactful? Why is it so important?

In this special episode, Peter interviews “uncles” Naim Sawires and Sam Jeanjaquet about their memories of camp ministry. Combining their years of service, there are over 100 years of camp ministry in this podcast!

Listen along as Sam and Naim recount some of their memories—from their own years as campers, to the many they have reached who have themselves continued on in serving the Lord, to how this ministry has flowed from camp to their own homes (13:16) and local communities:

“…[Our] goal was to serve young people, open our home to them, and never put them down…always encourage them, always uplift them.”

Naim Sawires

Stick around as they share about the reasons they serve young people in a camp setting and discuss the value of camp ministry. Find out what it takes for a believer to serve in camp (15:24), some of the dangers (18:24) to be careful of in camp ministry, and how even the way we phrase a question (22:09) can have a huge impact on the way the conversation can go with a camper.
